Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My Pre-K students are at a wonderful age where they are just beginning to explore the world around them and how they fit into it. Because many of them are still developing their vocabulary and communication skills, art becomes one of their most important tools for self-expression.
Through painting, drawing, and crafting, my students can share their feelings, tell stories, and show what they’re learning, even when they don’t yet have the words.
Art gives them a voice, allowing each child to express their unique personality, ideas, and creativity in a way that feels safe, fun, and meaningful.
These art materials will give my students the chance to create freely, build confidence, and develop essential fine motor skills. Most of all, they’ll be able to express themselves in ways that support both their emotional and academic growth at this critical stage of development.
