My Project

I'm the computer teacher at our school. We have approximately 380 students from early childhood through fifth grade. We are a Title 1 school, and we have a large number of English Language Learners. Throughout the year in the Computer Lab we learn basics of coding through websites like Scratch Jr and Code.org.

The students show a great interest in the subject and I would love to explore it further with a set of coding robots and dedicate more to our Coding unit using hands on activities.

Coding benefits go beyond the computer like promoting logical thinking, creativity, persistence, resilience, and problem solving among many others.
