My Project
Imagine being greeted each morning by twenty-five bright and eager faces that are excited to learn and be in school. Sounds like a teacher's dream. Fortunately, this is my reality! My classroom is full of curious K students, who come to school each day ready to learn. A student's school and classroom should be a place where their growth as a person is encouraged and they are given every opportunity to learn. I have been working hard to create this positive learning environment for my students throughout the past ten years of teaching. I hope to instill a strong academic foundation and provide an environment where nothing can stop them from becoming better, stronger, and smarter students and individuals.
Hands-on and play-based learning in a K classroom is essential for student success.
Laminating sheets and ink to print out game materials will make handwriting practice and letter formation more engaging. Craft supplies will enable students to create objects that represent their thinking and learning in literacy, math and science. The paint pages will allow students to increase fine motor control while they are creating images and letters that reinforce the concepts that they are covering in class. The dice will allow students to practice number sense in independent centers with an easy clean-up. Fun prizes will motivate, encourage and reinforce children to continue working hard toward their goals.
