This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our TK–3rd grade special education classroom, learning looks a little different—and that’s a beautiful thing. My students have extensive support needs, and we rely on hands-on, interactive materials to keep them engaged, motivated, and growing every single day.

To create the individualized materials my students need, I use lamination sheets, Velcro, cardstock, and a printer nearly every day.

These supplies allow me to make durable file folder activities, token boards, matching games, communication supports, and so much more. But to keep our classroom running smoothly and efficiently, we also need a sturdy rolling cart to organize and store all of these materials and our weekly work.

What We Need:

A durable rolling storage cart to organize daily learning materials

Lamination sheets to create long-lasting visual supports and activities

Velcro for interactive file folders, token charts, and communication tools

Cardstock for printing sturdy materials

Printer ink to produce colorful, engaging resources for each student

My students thrive when given structured, hands-on activities they can manipulate, match, and engage with. These tools help me create personalized learning supports that target each student’s goals while fostering independence and participation.
