My Project

I’m raising funds for [STEM tools / classroom supplies / hands-that will make learning more engaging and meaningful for my students. These items will help them practice essential life skills through activities that connect directly to their everyday lives. am a Life Skills Support Special Education Teacher of a Public School in Philadelphia, and my students are my amazing little school family. My students require a functional curriculum focused on academics, communication, community, domestic, and vocational skills. My job is to prepare my students for life after school. Weekly we cook/bake and take vocational training and community-based instruction trips to work at various sites throughout the city. In order to provide my students with an in-house vocational experience, we help manage a school-wide coffee delivery sale and the use of these material enable our business run efficiently. Despite economic struggles and academic barriers that all of my students have, they come to school every day ready to learn and achieve their daily goals.
