Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are energetic kindergartners who are full of life. They are sweet, smart, and incredibly ready to learn! They are like little sponges, coming in each day, ready to grow and understand even more about their world!

My students are hard workers who love the arts.

I want to inspire them to be more creative and to take more risks. I want them to dream big and know that hard work will help them succeed in everything they do!

My Project

Having educational games in our classroom setting will be the perfect addition to our morning tubs, learning labs, and morning tutoring times. These items will entice students to interact and learn, all while having fun!

Kids learn best by doing and these various games and manipulatives will give them the opportunity of integrating tactile learning when learning math and reading skills.

My kids will be able to use the Legos to develop their fine motor skills, as well as applying math and science skills. My students will use the alphabet picture magnets to sort words by initial sounds as it is the beginning steps in learning how to read. They will use the math games as a hands on way of learning numbers, counting, addition and subtraction, as well as learning how to create patterns.

I am also requesting replacement privacy boards for my students to use when taking tests.

These resources can be used in a multitude of components throughout our day from morning tubs, learning labs, tutoring, and enrichment programs sparking the interest, minds, learning, and creativity of my kids.
