Hands-On Learning for Special Needs!

My Project

This classroom is a combination of special needs students from kindergarten to 5th grade. We are in need of hands-on manipulatives to motivate our students in ELA and math. Hands-on is the most effective way to keep our students engaged. Our students range from moderate to severe disabilities with a range of physical impairments. All of the materials for this project such as teaching tubs, games, centers, etc. will enhance the standards that our students need to meet.

This project will help a first-year teacher fill the classroom with items to provide a learning environment that the students thrive in.

Some of my students were displaced because of the latest tornadoes that came through our area. Many are living in hotels or extended-stay motels. Some have lost many of their supplies so this would take the burden off of the parents with trying to replace supplies that were lost.
