My Project
My students love working with their hands. As a teacher, I know the best learning happens while kids are exploring. The hands-on materials I have picked out for this project will be a tremendous asset to my students' development and learning process. They will fall in love with these fun items and not even realize how much they use their brains while playing with them. These items will go into individual drawers that students have access to each day. We start every morning with these drawers. I know my students will look forward to building words with the play dough, letter tiles, word building blocks, twisting 3 letter word builders, magnetic board and puzzles!
My students that are working on their alphabet letters will enjoy the trace/write alphabet center and find the letter activity center.
The sensory items will be great for my students who are curious and like to explore. The sight word magnets will be great to check in with my students as they are coming into my room to see if they are learning all 58 sight words I’m teaching. All items will be put to use right away in our classroom!
