Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are hardworking one of a kind kids. They are creative and inquisitive! They love hands on activities, challenging and engaging projects, that allow them to think outside of the box answer.
These kids deserve a chance!
We are in a Title One school district with limited supplies and most of our parents working two jobs to make ends meet. It is hard to ask for supplies when you know how hard they struggle. There is nothing in town to challenge them or offer any of these activities to stimulate their brain.
My students love to work and feel challenged. I would like to provide that for them! Please help me do that for them.
My Project
My students are incredibly hands on. They need the inspiration to guide them and tools to make those inspirations happen. Being from a Rural area there is not a lot of resources available to our gifted students.
I want to provide them the tools and the learning opportunity that they deserve!
By helping me purchase the materials such as the microscopes, goggles, kits, a scale, thermometers and general supplies to start up our own Lab/ STEM class will not only help the students that I currently have but also future students as well.
With the Biology kits we will be able to explore and discover new things around our environment. Some of my students have never used or seen a microscope so this is a very exciting opportunity for them as well.
