This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are dedicated and bright math lovers who have worked very hard all year. They are hands-on and visual learners and usually learn best with manipulatives to guide their problem-solving. The materials I am requesting will support students' conceptual understanding of fractions and provide a strong foundation for future learning.

Fraction manipulatives are a great way to reinforce understanding of equivalent fractions and various fraction operations.

We will use these manipulatives in future math units during whole-group lessons and small groups. I am also requesting a gift card from Teachers Pay Teachers, which will help me purchase engaging task cards and other resources to reinforce student learning. Thank you for supporting my classroom and helping me promote a love of math in my classroom!
