This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am fairly new to teaching pre-k, and everything I have learned about pre-k tells me that children this age learn best by doing. Sensory tables and light tables are often cited as being an integral part of the pre-k classroom, and I want to give my students the opportunities to enhance their learning in my classroom by using these.
Our classroom does not have a sensory table, and I would love to introduce one to my pre-k kiddos.
Fortunately, I do have a light table, but we do not have many accessories for it.
I also would appreciate kid-friendly hole punchers to work on fine motor skills which are essential in my students' development as writers.
