This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My second graders thrive with hands-on, creative learning experiences.

The sensory table, water beads, and organizing bins will support our science and literacy unit on animals and their environments while also keeping our classroom organized for future animal habitat projects.

The Botley robots we have will add an interactive STEM component, allowing students to code movement patterns that mimic animals. This will deepen their understanding of animal behaviors and their habitats while reinforcing problem-solving and coding skills. Since the robots require AAA batteries to operate, having a supply will ensure full participation in these engaging activities.

The Crayola Model Magic is a great tool that will be used to sculpt animals, helping students visualize and explore different species as they learn more about the subject. It will also be used for our social studies “Holidays Around the World” December activities, allowing students to create cultural artifacts while improving fine motor skills.

The Zingo Sight Words Game will make sight word practice interactive and engaging while supporting them when reading and writing about what they learn.

These resources will spark curiosity and help students connect with science, literacy, and the arts in meaningful ways.
