My Students
Students whom are aware of our environment are more likely to appreciate and protect it, which is why I teach my students about the importance of habitats.
My 4th grade rural, low-income, public school class is comprised of wonderful students.
They love to learn, especially when lessons are presented with hands-on, real world learning tools. I want to do the best job I can to help them succeed in school and prepare them for success in life.
My Project
My project will teach my students in two ways. First, they will maintain three separate habitats in the classroom. Students will design and maintain an aquatic, semi-arid, and forest habitat using BioQuest habitation stations. We will also introduce live animals to our habitats and care for them. Secondly, students will use engaging books and games to learn more about habitats, food chains, and the environment.
Teaching my students about the earth we live on will be so much more memorable and exciting with hands-on tools and live critters to care for! Students will not just learn about habitats, they will apply concepts on a daily basis as they care for our classroom habitats.
Teaching students about the environment will ensure the future preservation of our planet!
Thank you for helping me teach them to be good stewards and to protect our planet so we can all enjoy it.
