My Project
Many of my reading intervention students entering kindergarten through second grade do not yet know basic letter names and sounds. The resources and materials in this project will my students needing additional support in literacy.
Young students need structured, repetitive practice daily, in a variety of ways, using hands-on resources to help them understand how language works.
My students will use the reproducible picture cards, word cards, magnetic letter tiles and manipulatives to bridge their understanding of letters and sounds to writing.
This practice is essential and a base for reading. Students comes to my class for 30 minutes per day. A part of our daily routine is practicing learning letters in isolation, the phoneme (sound) that goes with letters and manipulating sounds in words. The teacher resources will guide planning and prepare engaging multi-sensory learning experiences
Your donation will help give my students dozens of fun activities that will help them listen to language and play with sounds - essential readiness skills for phonics instruction and strong reading success!
