Hands On for Little Learners!

My Project

COVID-19 has impacted my students’ academic and social-emotional learning, particularly in foundational literacy skills. The materials I’m requesting—light panel and translucent letter builders, Science of Reading Multisensory Materials Bundle, dry erase letter strips, table top dry erase easels, and dry erasers—will provide engaging, hands-on tools to help them recover and thrive.

How these materials will make a difference:

- Light Panel & Translucent Letter Builders will make letter recognition and spelling visually and tactilely engaging, ideal for struggling learners.

- Science of Reading Multisensory Materials will enhance phonemic awareness, phonics, and fluency, offering evidence-based literacy instruction.

- Dry Erase Strips & Easels allow students to practice writing with immediate feedback, promoting confidence and resilience.

I am hoping these materials help me to:

- Boost Literacy Skills by improving reading and writing through interactive, multisensory methods

- Build Confidence by fostering persistence and self-correction in a low-pressure, supportive environment.

- Encourage Collaboration by strengthening peer relationships through group activities, enhancing social-emotional learning.

My students are resilient, creative, and eager to learn, despite the challenges of the pandemic. They thrive on hands-on learning and are determined to grow both academically and socially. These materials will help meet their unique needs, ensuring they have the tools to succeed in the classroom and beyond.
