Hands on for Learning

My students need hands on materials like a Giant Treehouse, Bristle Builders and Magna-Tiles to explore, and construct their own learning.

My Students

We love to build and play! We learn about construction and then about sharing and interacting through dramatic play with our creations.

I work in a Title one school in Oklahoma.

Our students are low income and have limited experience when they come to school. We strive to provide them with a rich engaging environment for maximum learning. I teach a full day Kindergarten class and share materials with the two other half day classes in my building.

My Project

Building and creating is a way for students to have fun but also to process their feelings and try out and act out roles with things like the dollhouse. My project includes a wide variety of materials to address a variety of learners. There are magnet blocks, wooden blocks, Lego type blocks, bristle blocks as well as a treehouse dollhouse.

This project will be enjoyed by a total of 66 children for many years.

All materials requested can be used for many years by many children. Thank you very much for your consideration.
