My Students
Our students come from a blend of rural and suburban communities. They are inquisitive and love new challenges. We love to give them new opportunities and they have enjoyed doing such activities as Hour of Code.
The world is rapidly changing, and students will need new skills to succeed in the workplace.
We want to update our library to give students an opportunity to interact with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) equipment. Our goal is to build our Makerspace for kids to explore these skills in a fun way.
My Project
Our students love to interact with a variety of materials in our makerspace.
Some of the things we are asking for include tools, crafting supplies, and building kits.
I am asking for a variety of tools because our students like to take apart old appliances. We are hoping to re-purpose some of those items into new projects. I also want to create a station with knitting and crocheting materials for students to be creative and truly embrace the purpose of a makerspace.
We are also asking for some robotic items and building kits. These items will allow students to interact with the types of skills that they will need in the workplace.
