This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These items will add some excitement to our centers by learning through play. Learning through play for Pre-K is effective because it fosters creativity and critical thinking in a natural, engaging way. Play-based learning allows children to explore their interests, develop social skills, and reinforce concepts through hands-on experiences, making learning enjoyable and memorable.
Students will be engaged in learning and excited to go to ABC, writing, science and math centers with our new additions.
The magnetic shape maze will be added to our math center to help students categorize items into their corresponding shape. The caddy’s will serve to keep materials organized in each center and the bright colors will draw the students attention to the materials they will hold. The styling kit will be used in the dramatic play to create hair salon. Finally the fidgets will be in our calm down corner kit as a sensory item for students to use when they need to take a moment when they are having some strong emotions.
