My Students

My students in my classroom are part of a specialized classroom. We are distinguished as a Diagnostic Kindergarten classroom for students with Autism and other disabilities. This classroom allows students to come from various backgrounds and participate in a classroom with smaller sizing, as well as more adult support to help them engage in our different classroom activities. My energetic students enter my classroom looking for fun and engaging activities to help them be successful in their learning environment.

My students enthusiastically seek activities that fulfill their sensory, play, social, and learning moments for a better understanding of what is being taught.

As my students learn and grow, having the ability to have activities that are personal and allow me to teach them in a more diversified learning environment allows me to bring their learning into a full loop of understanding.

I am so grateful to be able to teach some of the most energetic students who are so excited to share their learning with not only their classmates but other students and families within the school.

My Project

With the help of the hand2mind matching donation, my students will have the opportunity to have more manipulatives to help in their learning environment. Every student learns in a different way of teaching. Allowing this donation match will give my students the opportunity to have this type of response needed to improve and excel in their learning environment.

Manipulatives in learning are a major part in showing and using sensory items to help students understand in their education.
