it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students have come into high school behind grade level. But these students are not quitters. We have a strong culture of achievement,and encourage all students to prepare for and apply to college.

We have students from five continents (and more than that number of islands) representing a diverse array of languages and cultures. My students are a mix of new immigrants and native born Americans. All of them want to succeed.
My Project
My students have come into high school behind grade level. But these students are not quitters. We have a strong culture of achievement and encourage all students to prepare for and apply to college. This fall, I received a new tool from Texas Instruments, called the TI Innovator hub. It is a programmable microprocessor with connections for sensors and outputs. The amazing thing about this tool is that it is programmed from a simple handheld calculator. There is no need for laptop computers or other expensive equipment. This proposal is requesting a ten-pack of the TI 84 Plus CE calculators and a charging station that can interface with TI Innovator.
I try to make sure a lack of opportunity won't hold my students back.
As much as possible, I try to introduce technology and real-world situations to their studies. By funding this project, providing calculators and sensor interface equipment, you will help my students get ready for the world.
