Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My class is made up of a diverse group of 18 students from a Title I school that enjoy learning and having fun.
My students are full of energy and love to play, discover and learn new things.
Our school consists of a very large English language learner population. 100% of our students receive free breakfast and free lunch.
Marie Curie said, "Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less."
My Project
The Number line clock will help my scholars understand that time is a continuous unit of measurement. The visual time tool will Improve understanding for my students by seeing the connection between a number line and time. The movable hands that are red and blue will help my students distinguish between hours and minutes. This resource will assist my students in discovering a new way of teaching and learning how to tell time.
My students can learn to tell time with just hours or just minutes, compare the distance traveled for five minutes and one hour, and color-coded by fives for easy skip counting.
