In my classroom you can find students spread out across the room engaged in activities designed to support skills they are learning in whole group lessons. Many of the activities not only focus on the academic piece, but also challenge the students to use their fine motor skills to complete the task. The alphabet and number fine motor clips are a useful tool for students to show that they can match numbers and letters in a variety of ways. Additionally,the building blox and links provide additional ways for students to create numbers and letters using non traditional materials.
Clipping, snapping, and linking are skills that help build important fine motor muscles.
What a child does with their hands, such as linking letters in order, helps build a connection in their brain, thus strengthening their learning!
