This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a 6th grade Special Education English Language Arts classroom. My students have a variety of needs and learning styles. The items listed in this project: fidgets, personal whiteboards, arts and crafts projects for after school learning will support their unique needs. My students have difficulty reading and writing.

Whiteboards provide an alternate way for them to share their thinking and participate in their learning.

The fidgets are an important learning tool for them to focus while direct instruction is occurring. Our after school program engages students that need a social emotional learning outlet.
