My Students

I am so lucky to have the opportunity to create art with these superstar middle school students! All of my students this year are back in the classroom after remote learning and are eager to create beautiful masterpieces during art class.

These young artists are creative, curious, hard-working, and motivated to make the most of our art class together.

I am passionate about providing these students with authentic and creative experiences. We explore the artistic processes through hands-on approaches and learn about art, history, and culture. These students are unique because they choose art as their elective course for the entire school year. Art offers these superstar students an opportunity to shine bright. I know that all students enjoy getting their hands dirty and trying their best to create art masterpieces!

My Project

Today, I asked my students "What do you want to learn about this year in Art class?" Overwhelmingly, many students have responded with how to draw realistic hands.

These students deserve the right materials needed to master important foundational skills in drawing; hand mannequins will help students break the hand down into simple shapes that are easier for drawing in a variety of poses.

Middle School students are developmentally interested in creating drawings that appear realistic, proportional, and expressive. Drawing hands can be quite a challenging skill to master. Access to the proper art tools will engage them in learning techniques to draw them accurately from observation, and create a successful art project.
