Habitat Sweet Habitat - An Ant's Happy Home

My students need 6 ant farm habitats, called Antworks and 3 non-fiction softback reference books to study the life cycle and habitat of ants.

HABITAT SWEET HABITAT or Home Sweet Home? I teach two fourth grade science classes in a high need community. One of the curricular focuses within my classroom includes animal habitats and life cycles.

Science is so much more fun and interesting when you can actually view it in action! Reading about animal habitats in a textbook just doesn't take the concept to that concrete, understandable level for children. The problem I am experiencing is lack of funding for materials...

Children need to use their senses and interact with nature to understand fully and completely. This is why providing ant farms and 3 resource books for my science classes would help the children become more interested in our science lessons and give them a much better understanding of animal habitats and life cycles.

With your help, my students will be able to interact with, observe, document and fully comprehend the habitat and life cycle of ants. Won't you please help make science more real and exciting for my students?
