This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students come from low-income families and 94% receive free or reduced lunch. They are taught the Common Core standards through a vigorous and rounded curriculum. Every student takes math, physical education, science, English, and history. Students participate in a variety of extracurricular opportunities and events throughout the year, including clubs. Moreover, the majority of our students attend our after-school program to get homework help and tutoring

My Project
My passion is to teach students healthy habits, so they can have a better quality of life. I emphasize fitness and a balanced nutrition with my students. As a Physical Education teacher and sports coach, my goal is to teach kids the importance of teamwork, grit, and discipline through sports.
Keeping our students hydrated will allow them to do their best during sports and in the classroom.
Water is an essential part of being active, and without it individuals lose the focus to continue. Kids engage in sports during the day, which includes lunch, recess, physical education, and after-school competitive athletics.
Although our students come from low income communities, they contribute so much to our school. Our students have shown incredible perseverance, courage, and tenacity, despite not having the proper gear. Our students deserve the highest quality education. I hope to improve their experience in school through sports. This project will be used for sports teams like football, basketball, soccer, and track throughout the school year. This project will benefit all of our students. Help me bring these much needed items to hydrate and fuel our young athletes.
