My Project

My older 8th grade boys love to read books about sports and psychology. Help me give them books that fill the "YouTube" gap and inspire critical thinking and positive paths through masculinity.

These reading opportunities cultivate rich discussion and a deeper understanding of positive mindsets and habits while developing healthy skepticism for media traps and misinformation.

These books are significant for our guys because it gives them an opportunity to avoid the reading cliff so common in boys between seventh and eighth grade - where boys stop reading and turn toward social media exclusively instead.

Our goal is to build great, positive habits, empathy, and critical thinking to better understand ourselves and the people in our lives.
