Guitars Needed for School with NO Instrumental Music Program

I teach in an fairly impoverished school in New York City. The school does not have enough money to provide funding to their music education program. As of now Music is only offered to 11th graders. My job is difficult because I currently teach without any software, textbooks, or instruments.
I would like to provide my students with an instrumental portion to their Music class. Since most of these students have no prior instrumental training, I would like to implement a guitar segment to this class. Guitar should be a great way for them to experience instrumental success. I've only requested 4 guitars to start, but hopefully I'll be able to get more after that.
I need at least 12 guitars to suit my 20-30 student classes. To start, I've requested 4. Learning guitar will give most of my students their first opportunity to play an instrument. Due to funding, most of the area that they live in does not offer ANY instrumental program.
I took a survey at the beginning of class this year, and many of my students are sincerely interested in playing an instrument. Please give them that chance, for it may be the only chance they have! Keep music alive and give these students a chance to find a love in music that many of us have.
