Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Hello Everyone, I teach 4th grade. My students range from general ed, special needs, and second language learners. I am also challenged with at-risk children. One thing that brings them all together is music. I do my best with my limited resources to bring the arts into all of the curriculum.
My school district is in a budget crisis where more and more programs are being cut. The arts are always the first to go. The students deserve an opportunity to learn how to play an instrument. I play the guitar and I want to pass it on to my students. They are all very excited knowing that they may learn how to play this year.
These guitars will make it possible for me to start teaching my students chords and songs. Connecting music to the curriculum will inspire and motivate them to learn.
Your help will make it possible to bring music to my current students and all the children I will be teaching in the future. Thank you for helping!!!
