My Students

Guitar enthusiasts! This opportunity will open students to an arena to take their writing and composition to the next level. As a group, we will conquer all styles of music and evolve!

As of right now, there is no guitar program in the school.

I would like to incorporate guitar studies in the general music classroom. Until that can be a reality, I'd like to offer an extracurricular opportunity for our kids to explore interpersonally and intrapersonally.

My Project

The fretless bass will offer acoustic depth to the group and grant students the chance to learn on a bass (there is no upright bass or string program in the school either) The amp and electric guitar will give the option for small combo work and encourage a new sound to enter the classroom. I hope to bring the 5th stream music education to this school to keep our pedagogy fresh and to enforce musical creation and improvisation!

This project is important because these instruments and equipment are not school-funded.

Kids are interested in learning guitar, so the outcome of their exposure to the instrument is can be limitless.
