My Students
Our students love music! Music gives them an overall vitality and enthusiasm for life and provides them with a deep sense of accomplishment and self-worth. They learn to work cooperatively with their peers, focus on instruction and most of all, experience the joy of making music.
Our school is located in a low-income urban neighborhood.
The school is an important part of the community and families depend on us for a high quality, well-rounded education for their children. We want to give our students the chance to study music.
My Project
My students need an acoustic-electric guitar to complete our Guitar Ensemble and Rock Band classes. We need good equipment and instruments to round out the program and provide high needs kids with everything they need to learn how to play music.
Many of our Music students are studying music and learning to play an instrument for the first time in their lives!
Through guitar practice students will see their efforts connect to a final product and will experience the joy of music through concert performances.
They will also learn to cooperate with their peers and become problem-solvers. And everything they learn in music will be transferred to all other aspects of their lives.
