The instrumental music program is offered to students in grades 5 to 12. With almost 120 students in the entire program, Band is one of the largest groups in our district to be involved in.
My students are always willing to explore different styles of music.
We do this by playing music from different cultures, regions, history, and genres. In order to get the full effect from these styles and sounds of music, our band is in search of specific instruments to match these music origins!
My Project
Will you be our hero? We're in need of a guiro and more! The band needs to expand its variety of percussive and auxiliary instruments in order to allow us to play a variety of styles and genres of music. We need a tambourine, mallets and sticks.
There is so much wonderful repertoire out there that we cannot perform because we simply do not have the instrument to perform the music.
With these instruments and mallets, my bands will have the opportunity to share and perform a variety of styles of music for our audience.
