I have a classroom full of amazing and inspiring first graders. They are all unique individuals with shining personalities. They want to learn, and they prove that to me every day.
With that being said, all of my first graders want to learn, and they will, but not necessarily on the same day or in the same way.
I teach at a Title I school with a high mobility rate. I want to level the playing field for my future doctors, teachers, scientists, business owners, and artists.
My Project
My students are going to have a couple Chromebooks that they will be using during our reading centers. Since most first graders do not have experience with a keypad mouse, I would like to get these mice and headphones for them to use.
My students will use these materials to enhance their learning.
They will use the mice to navigate around to the different activities they will be expected to complete. They will use the headphones with microphones to complete learning activities that expect children to verbally respond.
These materials will take their Chromebooks and learning to the next level, and make sure they do not have any barriers.
