Guided Reading Superstars!

My students need books, books, books! Our guided reading book sets are very outdated and it is often hard to find a great set for a reading group! We need Scholastic classroom magazines and more!

FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Bratz's classroom raised $820

This project is fully funded

My Students

These first graders are energetic, hard-working, determined students who love coming to school every day! The students live in a high poverty section of the city, and the majority of them receive free breakfast and lunch at school. We have a large population of ESL learners and are increasing our inclusion classroom settings each year.

These students are eager to learn, to explore, and to be challenged!

Our school is a small, close-knit community where our students are taught to believe in themselves and that anything is possible!

My Project

These sets of guided reading books will help my students when they are working with their teacher in a group with 4-6 students. Many of these book sets are nonfiction where the students will be able to learn about U.S. symbols, Weather, and sports. Some of these book sets align with our social studies and science first grade standards. The sight word workbook will be a great tool for my students to use throughout the year to make sure they have built their sight word bank of words before moving onto second grade. The map skills workbook will be used to align with our social studies standards on geography.
