Guided Reading Groups Need Reading Materials!

My Students

Reading unlocks the door to success- I believe in that so much! We need more challenging book sets for guided reading so I can help guide my students to their successes!

My eager readers are in first and second grade at a small school in a rural southwest Michigan community.

We love to read, especially in "book clubs" during guided reading groups. My students especially enjoy books with endearing characters like the lovable Stink or Jack and Annie from the Magic Tree House.

My Project

The books I have requested will offer my students challenging reading material so I can continue to support my readers who need a little bit extra. They will allow me to run guided reading groups with small groups of students who are reading the same book. This way, we can read independently and then talk about our books together!

This project is so important.

I have a lot of materials to support my struggling readers, but readers who need more challenging materials sometimes don't get their higher needs met. I appreciate your consideration in bringing materials to my eager readers!
