My Students
"I grew 2 levels," a student exclaimed. Students cannot wait to share their growth with their peers and teachers at our school. Our students attend a zoned school in East Nashville where 100% receive free lunch. All students walk or are driven to school, and parents and families are eager to be a part of our community!
My students are full of love!
I cannot wait to see each of their faces in the morning. Everyday we start with literacy centers, go to specials (yoga, gym, music, or math intervention), whole group reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. Every day they grow socially and academically to be their best self.
My Project
We are asking for 62 leveled books that are at the levels that most students in our class are at (Levels K, I, and N). Right now we have some books but students read so much (every day) that they run out of books at their level. We are hoping to increase the students love of reading by getting new books for our library. This also includes a few books that students are interested in such as sharks, dinosaurs, sports, and other non-fiction titles. When students read these books they grow to be better readers while creating a love of reading that will last a lifetime!
