I have a classroom full of writers they just don't know it yet! My students have amazing, creative minds and we need to take this special time in their lives to increase our learning. In order to do this we need a document camera where their writing can come to life for their peers.
Our school is a safe and positive environment where everyone is expected to try their best.
We love to show what we know! Our number one rule in our classroom is we will never make anyone feel that they do not belong. We focus on community in among our students and make sure that everyone feels like they belong. My students are energetic, happy and love their school. We love telling stories and this year we are going to put these stories to paper!
My Project
We have launching a Writer's Workshop program in third grade and students are currently learning the mechanics of writing. We are also researching the types of writing and studying favorite authors. We are writing in our writer's journals daily! We would LOVE the opportunity to have a document camera to show case writing to the whole class. If we had this document camera I can teach mechanics to the students as they are at their desks and student can come up and present their work. Having this document camera will not just help in writing it will help across all the subjects but our need is to expand our knowledge of what good writer's do and this will be a HUGE help in this process.
Donations to my classroom project will affect not only the 22 students in my classroom this year but will continue to change their lives about the generosity of others.
It takes a community to create life long learners and donating to our project will teach them that there are SO many people out there that care about their learning! Thank you for reading about us!
