This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students learn best with hand on experiences. Greenhouses and terrariums will allow students to see plants growing in an extremely dry climate. We hope to use these items to help students see the structures and functions of different types of plants that would not normally grow in our hot, South Texas climate.
Students will also be able to see the water cycle in action with the use of a greenhouse and terrarium.
Many of our students struggle with the concepts of evaporation and condensation on our standardized tests. This items will help them understand that the water we use will be constantly recycled.
