My Students

I have the joy of teaching in an ICT kindergarten class, at a Title I school. My students are an enthusiastic bunch who are inquisitive, eager to learn, and work very hard! My school and classroom serves a racially, ethnically, religiously, and socioeconomically diverse population.

The future starts in my class!

My classroom is always working on building community. Students learn to share, communicate and respect one another in my classroom. As I guide these students toward becoming successful community leaders, I am preparing them for their future. Students will need to read, write,and solve problems.

For kindergarten, playtime is a thing of the past and in order for them to develop the socialization skills needed to communicate, and share they need to be able to have some time to engage and play with each other.

My Project

There are many tools that teachers need to make a classroom successful. Yes, you need the basics like pencils, crayons, and paper, but one tool that is also important is having access to a computer in the classroom.

A chromebook in the classroom will benefit the students by allowing them to practice new or old skills.

Now more than ever our children are living in a digital world. What better way to let their creative writing flow by telling their story through a movie on movie maker on a chromebook! Power point gives them the opportunity to present what their learning in a fun way. Our smart notebook can be hooked up to our smart board and give students the opportunity to share their work. The digital world is endless now and days!

Having a chromebook in my classroom is a wonderful resource that can give my students the tool to be able to express themselves through digital storytelling. Many of my students unfortunately do not have the funds to have the technology in their homes. Help me give my students the ultimate digital experience in my classroom!
