My Project
My students will learn how to grow fruits and vegetables. The students will learn parts of the fruits and vegetables and watch how the plant grows. My students will be able to take care of the garden. They will understand it is important to take care of different things and that it takes patience to take care of other things throughout life.
Each student will learn how to loosen the soil, plant the seed, cover the seed, water the garden, and pull up what has been grown.
The Little Red Hen talks about how to grow things and be able to eat what they have grown. They will be able to understand what they have learned by the end of the unit. For the most part, this will be the first time most students will be able to grow things. This will be exciting for them and myself.
