Growing Together

Help me give my students the opportunity to read and grow together. We have students that are new to our country and we want to read a text that allows us to build a community together.

My Project

Our students are amazing and eager to learn. This text will allow us to be culturally responsive to each other and find common ground as we learn and grow together. Allowing students that are new to our country to read a text in their native language and share their experiences in class will be an amazing way to begin our first quarter of learning together. Although this project is for 25 students, I asked for 7 books in Spanish to allow students to decide if they want to read it in English or Spanish, giving them a choice to decide their comfort level.

We are excited to kick of the new school year as a community by building together.
