This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love to read and we don’t have many books that represent all the students in our classroom. I want my students to feel welcome, valued, seen, and heard in our classroom. I think the book choices would be a great way to learn about many different cultures and help them build confidence.

Every student in the classroom will benefit from having extra pencils because they are from an underserved community and their parents don’t always have the funds to provide the necessary resources.

I want them to have all of the tools and resources they need to succeed.

My students will greatly benefit from cleaning wipes because many viruses and COVID are going around. I’ve had students that missed the first and second week of school due to being sick. Using cleaning wipes will help to ensure our classroom is germ free and they can all be present everyday to learn and grow their brains.
