My Students

All students at my school qualify for free lunch and free breakfast. I teach my 25 students in math, language arts, science, and social studies. They are a diverse group of learners from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds.

My students love to engage in hands-on learning in the classroom.

They love being given opportunities to work together throughout the day. They also love being able to sit together and share moments through reading. My students have built a great classroom community where everyone is celebrated and has a sense of belonging.

My Project

This is my first year teaching fourth grade causing a lack of books my students desire in the classroom library. Students are having to hope that their desired series is available in the school library. I would like for students to have easy access to the next book in a series in the classroom. We sat down as a class to create a list of the series they want added.

I want to get the books students are craving into their hands.

The Wings of Fire series are especially popular with my fourth graders. Adding to the classroom library will help my students continue to grow a love for reading. They already enjoy sitting down with a good book. It would be amazing if I could help get their most desired books in their hands.
