Growing Readers Thirst For Books!

My Students

Do you love to read? Think about the amazing feeling you get when you are reading a book that you can't put down. I want my students to know this feeling with many of the books that they read in our classroom.

I teach an incredible class of 28 Gifted and Talented second graders.

They are a group of readers and they could read for hours on end. Many of my students describe "getting lost in their book" and speak about books with pure joy. It is a great thing to be teaching students who have a true love for reading.

My Project

As my students go through their year in second grade, their reading abilities are growing and I don't have the resources to keep up with them. At these higher levels, I only have a few books in the classroom library. As a result, many of my students are not able to quench their reading thirst. By adding 70 new books to our classroom library, you will help to provide the amazing feeling of reading a great book. Perhaps one of these new books will become one of my student's favorites?

If you donate to this project, you will know that you have played a vital part in helping to grow a class of readers.

You will be providing these students with books that they will love and will not be able to put down. Will you please be a part of my growing readers' lives?
