This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love reading, and nothing makes me happier than to see them curled up with a good book. They have made so much progress as readers and have gone through many of the books in our classroom library.
I want to reward their hard work by welcoming new titles into our library!
I love seeing their excitement when they find books by favorite authors, or interesting topics.
Being able to choose books that students are interested in helps them see reading as a pleasurable activity. This helps students build their reading comprehensions skills, as well as grow as writers! As Earnest Hemingway said, "There is no friend as loyal as a good book!"
