This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school Garden Club is made up of a group of enthusiastic 3rd - 5th graders. Their faces just light up when they get to plant, and see things start growing. They also love the birds that surround our school and have been fascinated by the nesting in the bluebird house that we put up on our school grounds last year. They also like to find ways to play in the garden. Recently some of them started creating little fairy gardens amongst the plants. There is no end to the fun we can have outside in the garden.

Please help us do a few things we'd like to do this season in the garden.

We want to plant daffodils bulbs so we can have the fun of seeing them bloom in the spring. We also want to try planting winter vegetable seeds, setting up some more bluebird houses, potting indoor plants that we have propagated, and creating little painted fairy houses for the outdoor garden with some of the terracotta pots.
