My Project
Climate & The Environment, are our topics of conversation. We are learning how to protect our environment and what can we do to improve our climate. This project supports the ideal of local and sustainable food systems using the Hydroponics Growing System kit and seeds. Enhancing sustainability practices in education involves embedding the concept of sustainability in our classroom and daily activities of the students with special needs that I teach.
"Growing our own food in the classroom" will provide a therapeutic experience that promotes communication, sensory integration, vocational development, and fine/gross motor skills.
This project will enable the students to practice new vocabulary. The students will experience the diverse textures, smells, and colors in a garden providing a multi-sensory experience.
