My Students
My students from Inglewood, California are enthusiastic about learning and have been adjusting SO well to ALL the changes happening this year. They are so candid, and they are eager to become better readers and writers.
Students were virtual for the majority of last school year, and we are currently transitioning into starting the year fully in person.
Although my students have had a year full of changes, they are still so resilient and are willing to work, learn, and grow.
This year presents so many new challenges, and it is such a huge change for my little first graders, but they have been resilient amidst uncertainty and change. I could not be more proud of them for what they have accomplished and cannot believe we are at the halfway mark! They truly inspire me to be a better person and teacher.
My Project
As a new first grade teacher, I want to have an abundance of books to offer and read to my students. With this project, I have the chance to build my classroom library. I have specifically chosen these set of books to give my students the opportunity to experience and read meaningful and engaging books.
This year is the first year my students are experiencing being in a school building, and it would be great to have a variety of books in my classroom library for students to have access to.
