Growing Our Classroom Community!

My Project

At this point in the year we have settled into our routines and are working on refining and growing as a classroom community. As I have gotten to know this group of third graders I have seen how much they love to read and draw! Every day during our post-recess "quiet time" students draw and read to settle themselves for the afternoon.

Having set times throughout the day to reset is a great habit to build as learners and people!

In addition to this time my students use the calm corner when they need to take a minute away from the group. Some of the tools in the project will help restock our calm corner to make sure it has effective coping strategies for all students to choose from. Thank you for your support of my class! We are so greatful!
