Growing Minds and Hearts: Our School Reading Garden

My Project

At our elementary school, we believe that a love for reading begins with a nurturing environment. We aim to create a vibrant Reading Garden that will serve as a dedicated space for students to explore literature, engage in outdoor learning, and cultivate their imaginations. This project seeks funding for essential supplies, including planting materials, raised beds, pollinator supplies, and educational resources that will create our garden as a welcoming and inspiring oasis for our Terrier family.

Our goal is to provide students with a serene environment where they can read and enjoy books and nature, fostering a lifelong love for reading and appreciation for our environment.

We will utilize the garden as a hands-on learning space for lessons in science, nature, and environmental stewardship. We hope to involve students, families, and local volunteers in the planting and maintenance of the garden, building a strong community bond.

The Reading Garden will not only beautify our school but will also create an inviting space for students to delve into books, participate in gardening activities, and collaborate with peers. By cultivating a love for reading in a natural setting, we aim to improve literacy rates and encourage a sense of responsibility towards our environment.
